The musical teaming of Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers in "Flying Down to Rio" proved so popular that RKO rejoined them in "The Gay Divorcee" in 1934. A year later, this reworking of "The Gay Divorcee" was released with much of the same cast and crew. The plot revolves around mistaken identity, threatened divorce and wonderful dancing. With great Irving Berlin songs like "Top Hat", "Cheek to Cheek" and "Isn't This a Lovely Day?," this is one of the better Astaire-Rogers pairings. This reissue one sheet has some fold wear and a few pinholes. During restoration the entire border was airbrushed, however, there does not seem to be any defects in the border. There is a wonderful image of Fred and Ginger dancing on a top hat, as well as a number of smaller dance steps around them. A very nice piece from one of the duo's best films. Very Fine+ on Linen.
