Gifted player with the Boston Red Sox until he was hit in the face with a fastball thrown by Jack Hamilton. Tony returned to the lineup a year and a half later, hit another twenty home runs, had thirty-six the year after, but was forced to retire due to his eyesight being permanently damaged and died in 1990. Color 8 x 10 photo of Conigliaro taking a practice swing in his Red Sox road jersey, apparently taken from a program, signed in black felt tip. Double matted and framed, with the front center portion of a Red Sox jersey, to an overall size of 22.5 x 22. In fine condition. Oversized.
