Excellent condition. Tonopah and Goldfield Railroad, covered 100 miles in NV, providing service between Mina and Goldfield, running over the Excelsior Mountains and parallel to the Monte Cristo Range operated from 1905 until 1947. A prior railroad, Tonopah Railroad, started operating in 1903. Railroad building increased with the discovery of minerals: silver discovered in Tonopah in 1900, gold in Goldfield in 1902, silver at Silver Peak. Only stage coaches were running at that time. The Tonopah Railroad built 1903-1904 ran from Sodaville Junction to Tonopah. The Tonopah and Goldfield Railroad merged with the Goldfield Railroad. A spur line merged with Goldfield Railroad in November, 1905 to create the Tonopah and Goldfield Railroad. It continued to do business until it disbanded in 1947.
