Featured in this lot is this collection of police badge and uniform buttons circa 1890 to 1920 and were housed in the Tombstone Western Heritage Museum; Provenance: From the Tombstone Western Heritage Museum in Tombstone, Arizona. The collection includes a badge, five uniform buttons, and one larger "Police" button. The badge features a nickel plated brass construction that is marked "Police" with stamped decoration and is unmarked. The five brass uniform buttons shows a policeman with the inscription 'POD'; The buttons come with an original museum tag that reads as follows: Police Uniform Buttons LO-03.The last button is brass with a heavy patina and a ding in it and reads "Police" and is marked on the back as follows: Superior Quality. The condition of this museum badge and police uniform buttons is well preserved with the largest of the buttons showing oxidation consistent with an excavated item and some patina adorning the rest of the items but otherwise shows a well preserved overall condition. The measurements of this collection ranges from 1 5/8" x 1 1/4" to 5/8" x 5/8". The collective weight of this collection of police collectibles is 26.7g.
