Featured in this lot is this Tombstone, Arizona: Rare bank draft cashed the day after the Gunfight at the O.K. Corral October 27th, 1881; Provenance: From the Tombstone Western Heritage Museum in Tombstone, Arizona. This check features a wonderfully and professionally crafted construction that shows a cut check from the Pima County Bank pay to the order of Barnett & Block for $500.00 and signed on the back "Pay to the order of the C.P.R.R. Co". The check is signed at the bottom by the Bank Manager and is stamped in the top right hand corner that it had been cashed at Pacific Bank in San Francisco Oct. 27, 1881. Documents from Tombstone bearing this date are quite rare. The check comes with an original museum tag that reads as follows: Cashed the day after the gunfight. The condition of this Pima County Bank check is well preserved with no obvious signs of damage and shows a well preserved overall condition. The measurements of this check is 3 3/8" x 8". TTD-36
