Tom Sutton - Sword and Sorcery Painting Original Art (1975). Tom Sutton showcases a fantastic sword and sorcery scene in this sensational painting. A swordsman finds himself confronted by a living skeleton, in a scene that could of been inspired by Ray Harryhausen's famous stop-motion sequence from "Jason and the Argonauts." Tom Sutton broke into comics in the early 1960s doing black and white horror comics for Warren Publishing. He quickly obtained work from Marvel, DC, Charlton and Skywald, where he worked on the fan-favorite titles Star Trek, Conan the Barbarian, and Planet of the Apes. The art offered here was rendered in mixed-media and was partially painted on an acetate overlay. The image area is 11" x 16.5", and the art is in Excellent condition. From the collection of Richard and Wendy Pini.
