DS, signed “Donald Thomas Scholz,” one page, 8.5 x 11, November 28, 1988. Document sent to Boston bandmate Brad Delp, outlining terms for a "Canadian Mini Tour." In part: "I am writing this letter on behalf of Third Stage Tours, Inc. ('Third Stage') to memorialize Third Stage's agreement to employ you for the pending Canadian mini-tour. The terms are as follows: (i) You are being employed to rehearse for the said tour and to sing and play guitar and keyboards at up to seven (7) live concert performances. (ii) Rehearsals are expected to take place from November 29, 1988 through December 5, 1988 and the tour is expected to commence December 6, 1988 and conclude December 19, 1988…You will receive a flat fee of $5,000.00 for each show in which you perform on the tour, excluding 'benefit' performances, and a bonus of $2,500.00 for each such performance that is sold out (without more than 1,000 complimentary tickets having been issued)." Scholz initials one emendation to the text, "D.T.S." In very good to fine condition. Third Stage Tours took the name of Boston's third studio album, Third Stage, which was famously delayed for years due to Scholz's drive for perfection. By the time the album was released in 1986, Delp and Scholz were the only original members of Boston that remained in the band.
