Additional pictures available. High legs on this oval tole tray table with wide scrolled apron and fan carved design center of the four sides is perfect height for a side table or center table as opposed to the lower coffee table height most found. Dates from the 18th century,England, with a gorgeous black background oval metal tray with floral hand painting in the center of deep red, lavender, blue, cream and green. Although not signed, the quality is evident in the down turned metal lip embellished with dainty gilt painting and inlaid with mother of pearl which is all intact as seen in a Jennens Bettridge piece. Extremely sturdy piece with tray fitting snugly over the frame, the hand made table itself a work of art in construction. Due to the age of this 1700's piece, slight lose to small areas of the black badground paint. This has been addressed with these areas painted in matching opaque black and sprayed with an invisible clear coating to prevent any future lose. The stand in wonderful condition as well. Stunning piece. Measures 31L X 26.5W X 28H to top of raised lip,27 to table height.
