<B>1975 Women's Year First Day Postal Cover Signed by “Tokyo Rose”.</B></I> 6.5” x 3.75”, signed “<I>Iva Toguri D'Aquino</B></I>” on the recto. “Tokyo Rose” was a moniker given to several English speaking women broadcasting Japanese propaganda from the mainland. After the war, Iva Toguri D'Aquino was arrested, tried and served several years in prison for her complicity in the broadcasts. She was pardoned by Gerald Ford and her citizenship restored.
