<B>Tokyo Joe (Columbia, 1949).</B></I> Italian 2 - Folio (39" X 55"). Gorgeous art on this Italian post-World War II film poster which puts the U.S. art to shame. Humphrey Bogart portrays a former pilot and nightclub owner who returns to Japan after the war and finds that his former wife had their baby while he was in the U.S. Army Air Corps. Bogart soon finds himself embroiled in a plot to smuggle former Japanese war criminals back into the country. It was international intrigue at its best. The poster has pin holes, light edge wear, fold wear with cross fold separations, and a few stains in the image area. It has been mounted on linen, but only minor touch up has been done.
