A seldom seen memorial piece created after the sinking of Titanic in 1912, this brass padlock shows an embossed image of a ship sinking on its face along with the distress call letters of CQD issuing from the mast via electrical bolts. Intended to commemorate the role that wireless radio played in the rescue of the Titanic survivors, the backside of the padlock features the embossed words, “Simmons” (the maker of the padlock), and “Wireless.” Key not present.
