Group lot of three ALSs from Edwina MacKenzie (1884-1984), who was the second-oldest survivor of the Titanic, each signed “Edwina,” four total pages, dated between 1974–1976, each addressed to Robert Forrest and containing her various activities and updates. The earliest handwritten letter, October 4, 1974, finds her discussing the month’s plans, forwarding “a picture [of] a friend of mine took on that eventful day,” and explaining that she was born in Bath, Somerset, “a lovely city and known for their antique shops”; the second, dated October 29, 1975, Edwina comments on the arrest of Patty Hearst, “They should put her out to sea and give her hard labor. No roses or sympathy from me”; and the last, December 12, 1976, which finds her complaining of “having those Charlie horses in my feet and legs.” In overall fine condition. Accompanied by the hand-addressed mailing envelopes.
