Civil War sixth-plate tintype of a lanky young Union soldier posed with chest out in full uniform. He stands in full view with his hand resting on a fence. There are crossed cannons on his collar and embroidery on his epaulets. Penciled on front: ''H.P.H. 1893.'' Penciled on reverse: ''Otis. 2nd Lieut. Nov. 1893. H.M.D. Hyde Park H.S. Battalion.'' Measures 2.5'' x 4''. Very good detail and contrast. One minor bend in upper left corner and minor surface scratches. Very good condition overall.
