Tintype of Orrin Field, 1st Wisconsin Heavy Artillery, Company F. Tintype is matted to cardstock, bottom front margin is signed “Orrin Field” in ink. Field mustered in on 7 September 1864. The 1st Wisconsin Heavy Artillery was assigned mainly to guard duty for the duration of its service at Fort Ellesworth. Orrin Field mustered out on 26 June 1865. Image measures 2.25” x 4”. Cardstock shows signed of trimming along border, not affecting image or inscription. Overall excellent condition.
