Tin Cup - Production Screenplay Autographed By Lead Cast & Crew
Tin Cup - Production Screenplay Autographed By Lead Cast & Crew - Writer-Director Ron Shelton is famous for creating some of the all time best sports films in a variety of fields, including baseball ("Bull Durham"), Basketball ("White Men Can't Jump"), and especially what many consider his best film, and also the best film ever made on golf, "Tin Cup" (1996). The story of a truly washed-up pro golfer, Roy Mcvoy (Kevin Costner), irking out an existence in West Texas, who finds true salvation and redemption at the end has become one of the most beloved sports comedy's ever. Of course the stellar cast helped make this such a treasured favorite with the likes of Kevin Costner (in one of his all time best performances), Rene Russo, Don Johnson and Cheech Marin. Shelton truly captured the feel of the wasteland that is the Texas plains, as well as their country clubs and the pro golf circuit. Much of the film was shot on location, which caused a great deal of logistically problems because of the xenophobic attitudes of the people, plus the fact that there was a rumor floating around that the movie was a "negative" film about golf and Texas (which is was not!). It was up to one of the top Texas Club executive coordinators to work miracles to get the productio what was needed in the way of locations in order to make a successful film. He was famously also responsible for creating what many have said to be the best wrap party in history! In appreciation for all his work, the producers of "Tin Cup" presented him with a production screenplay of the film, which was personally autographed by stars Kevin Costner, Rene Russo, Don Johnson, Cheech Marin, Linda Hart, screenwriter John Norville and co-writer and director Ron Shelton. This is that great collectable piece of movie memorabilia. It comes with a Letter of Provenience from its original recipient.
