Niven on behalf of the United States, & approve of the award delivered him…also that said Quarter Master General appointed John J. Skidmore…to view the farm of Sam’l Wood and render him an Account of the Rails distroyed [sic] by the American Army.” In fine condition, with some mild toning, and show-through from docketing on reverse.
