Signed in ink on the first free end page, “Timothy Pickering.” In good condition, with heavy wear and paper loss to the cover and spine, reparative tape holding the inner hinge together, heavy toning, soiling, and foxing throughout, a Salem Athenaeum bookplate affixed to the front pastedown page with pencil and ink notations in another hand, and the words “Duplicate. For Exchange” stamped towards the bottom of the first free end page. Top flap of slipcase separated on all sides but one with pieces of reparative tape.
