Tebow’s game-used black mesh Nease High School football jersey worn during his junior and senior years, manufactured by Bike, featuring “Nease” screened in black letters across the front and his now-retired number 5 screened in white on the front and back. Exhibits light wear consistent with use. Jersey remains unwashed, with the sleeves still taped/banded, customized to Tebow’s personal comfort. Accompanied by a detailed letter of opinion from MEARS, assigning a grade of A10 “with respect to characteristics and game use,” as well as a notarized letter of provenance from a member of the high school’s coaching staff, Geoff Stephens, who states that the team wore these alternate black jerseys once a year for ‘special’ home games. In Tebow’s first game wearing this jersey against Palatka High School in 2004, he scored two rushing touchdowns and threw for 373 yards and four touchdowns, defeating their rival 59 to 7. The next year Tebow was limited due to injury in the game with these black jerseys, playing just six snaps but still managing to throw for 100 yards and two touchdowns. Accompanied by DVDs of the games, with one showing Tebow and his excited teammates receiving these special jerseys and trying them on for the first time before the game in 2004. This is the only Tebow high school jersey available to the public—and the only black one made—as the other four are held by Tebow’s family: a one-of-a-kind piece.
