Over his 17-year career on the PGA Tour, Tiger Woods has positioned himself to be the greatest golfer to ever have played the game. He is only a few Major Championships and a handful of PGA Tour victories away from being number one in both career categories. In conjunction with Upper Deck Authenticated, Tegata is a traditional form of Japanese memorabilia that is reserved only for the most superior athletes, and Woods is the third of Upper Deck Authenticated's impressive exclusive athletes to have a piece produced (the others being Michael Jordan and LeBron James). Utilizing handmade Japanese Hamada paper, Woods has inked his right hand in black and included an authentic Inkan stamp which aligns with the traditional craft. The overall keepsake, which measure 30" wide by 40" high, includes a 9.5" by 10.5" inset center upon which Woods’ hand has been inked and is surrounded by a double-matted mosaic background of famous moments and action shots of Tiger throughout his career. In all, there are 537 unique images of golf great Tiger Woods in this retrospective mosaic. Woods performed the ‘Tegata’ process under supervision of Upper Deck Authenticated officials and helped in the hand-crafting of 25 uniquely authentic stamps for the debut release. The limited edition autographed Tegata is guaranteed authentic by virtue of Upper Deck's Five-Step Authentication Process.
