Pair of exquisite Tiffany & Co. sterling silver candlesticks. These 15'' early twentieth century candlesticks are a reproduction of an eighteenth century Georgian design by noted English silversmith John Schofield. Each candlestick rests on a spreading 6.75'' circular base decorated with a gadroon border. Both candlesticks are marked ''Tiffany & Co. Makers Sterling Silver'' on the bottom and stamped with an ''M'', representing the directorship of John C. Moore II between 1907 and 1947. Another mark indicates the date of the original Schofield design as 1784. Total weight of the pair is 64.5 troy ounces. Each candlestick is elegantly monogrammed with the letter ''S''. The silver bobeches are removable. Near fine.
