Model 1840 U.S. issue "wrist breaker" with solid wooden grip, steel scabbard & brass guard & pommel. Blade shows little or no pitting. The maker's mark is clear & reads "Tiffany & Co. New York" & on the other sideof the blade is the inspector's mark P.D.L. in an oval.
