American actor (1896–1937) who, as a vaudeville impresario, assembled the act that evolved into the Three Stooges. Scarce vintage 6.25 x 12 half-length photo of Healy, boldly signed and inscribed in fountain pen, “To Betty, Love, Ted Healy.” In very good condition, with trimmed edges, missing upper left corner tip, a small repaired tear to the brim of his hat, and overall quite brittle. The pristine signature stands out nicely against the light background.
