Three items: Two ALSs, one page each, 5 x 8, personal letterhead. The first letter, dated August 5, 1983, Besser answers questions posed by a fan. In part: “They all went to heaven except me. Thank God he didn’t take me yet, and that ended the programs.” The second letter, dated February 9, 1985, Besser sends greetings to an ill fan. In part, “I don’t know if you are a big girl or a little girl, any way my dear wife Ernie and I will pray for your quick recovery by the healing touch of God’s invisible hand.” Accompanied by a 3.75 x 5 matte-finish photo of Besser with Moe Howard and Larry Fine, signed in black felt tip, “To Amanda, Best wishes always, Joe Besser,” adding the names of all three Stooges. In overall fine condition.
