This lot features three brooches believed to be Sterling Silver. The first is a silver hand etched brooch or pendant with an Aztec warrior face in the center surrounded by a cut-out design. The back is marked "Hecho En Mexico/ 925/ IV" and has the "Eagle" form mark stamped with "79" on the breast. This Eagle mark was used from the mid 1950's through the 70's or 80's. The number likely refers to a city or silver manufacturing Company. It measures about 1 3/4" in diameter. The second brooch is a gecko having ruby red colored stone eyes and measuring 2.5" long. It is unmarked, but believed to be silver (untested). The third brooch is a Navajo sand cast silver and depicts five Navajo pots cleverly cast to look 3D. The brooch is unmarked, but an identical brooch found online is marked "Sterling" and has a hallmark for Thomas Singer. According to PuebloDirect.com, Tommy Singer (1940-2014) was a world famous Navajo Silversmith and had pioneered the technique of chip inlay while he was working with scrap turquoise stones. While this brooch has no inlay work, it does feature detailed design. The brooch measures 2" long by 1" tall. All three brooches are in very good condition.
