For your consideration are these three Scottish brooches from the 1940's. The first of the three is actually a Sterling Silver Kilt Pin or brooch in the form of a Scottish Dirk. The Pin has a town of origin marking from Glasgow (tree, fish, and bell), and Standard marks from Edinburgh (thistle mark) and Glasgow (lion rampant mark), and a date mark indicating it was made in 1947 (y). The last mark on the pin is "RA", a maker's mark; however no maker could be pinpointed. The other two brooches are are Ward Brothers Sterling Silver Scottish Thistle Brooches. The First is a double thistle with citrine rhinestones and is signed WBS Sterling Silver. The second is a triple thistle with amethyst rhinestones and is also signed WBS Sterling Silver. Both thistle brooches are believed to be from the 1940's or 1950's. All three brooches show very good condition. The Scottish Dirk Kilt Pin is the largest at 3.75" in length.
