America has produced some of the finest tactical minds in history, and books like these give us an insight into the inner workings of their minds. The first book is: <B>Colin Powell: <I>My American Journey,</B></I></B></I> co-authored by Joseph E. Persico. (New York: Random House, 1995), 645 pages, multiple black and white photo inserts, white boards with blue cloth spine, gilt lettering on cover and spine, color photo dust jacket, 6.25" x 9.5". Signed on the title page as: "<I>C. L. Powell</B></I>" in bold felt tip ink. In very fine condition; corners bumped and rounded; foot and head slightly damaged from storage. <BR><B>Oliver North: <I>One More Mission</B></I>,</B></I> Co-authored by David Roth. (New York: Harper-Collins Publishers, 1993), 280 pages, two-sided color photo plates in the interior, original green and red boards, color photo dust jacket, 6.5" x 9.5". Signed on the dedication page as: "<I>All the best: Oliver North</B></I>" and is in very fine condition; corners bumped and rounded; otherwise a very clean copy. <BR><B>Lt. Gen. Harold G. Moore: <I>We Were Soldiers Onceā¦And Young</B></I>,</B></I> co-authored by Joseph L. Galloway. (New York: Random House, 1992), 412 pages, multiple inset maps and tactical drawings, double sided photo plates in interior, mauve boards with green cloth spine, color photo dust jacket, 6.25" x 9.5". Signed on the full title page with a full photograph of soldiers marching through a forest as: "<I>Hal Moore - X. Ray - Ia Drang - Nov. '65.</B></I>" Hal Moore's book was the basis for the popular Mel Gibson movie, <I>We Were Soldiers.</B></I> Ia Drang was known as the battle that changed Vietnam! In very fine condition, a very clean, almost new looking copy.
