Three Rare Original Winchester Factory Tool/Fixture Drawings For the Rare Winchester Revolver

This is a set of three original Winchester tooling/fixture drawings circa 1885. Two of the drawings are drawn on an original hard drafting cardboard/paper while the third drawing is on an oil skin drafting paper. 1) The oil skin drawing depict a fixture holding what appears to be one of the ultra-rare Winchester 1876 Centennial revolver frames, showing the milling of the front of the frame. The drawing is marked in the upper left corner "No. 231" with "111-76" across the top along with fixture milling. The lower right corner is stamped "Return to Central Drafting/WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO./Vault 1 Drawer 15". 2) This drawing also depicts a drilling fixture for what appears to be one of the early William Mason revolvers with a square butt. It is marked "No. 1721" and is labeled "Drilling fig. for Trigger & bolt pin: Base pin catch: & Gate Spring Screw: Finish Sizes. Sept 25th 1884 Pistol Frame". It is also marked on lower center "Return to Central Drafting/WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO./Vault 1 Drawer 14". 3) The last drawing also depicts a fixture that is marked "No. 1829, Hand Mill through Magazine Hole, Model 86, W.R.A. July 14, 1885" and is ink stamped "SECTION 1 DRAWER NO.11".

The drawings are all in very fine condition with the drawings and labeling all being excellent with clear markings. The two hard cardboard drawings are a little stiff from being rolled up in the accompanying tube. This is a really rare set of original Winchester revolver drawings.
