Three Piece Belleek Parian Porcelain Tableware in Shamrock and Ribbon Patterns
This collection of three Irish porcelain items is manufactured by Belleek Pottery of County Fermanagh, Ireland. The group consists of fine eggshell Parian porcelain finished with a characteristic iridescent mother-of-pearl glaze. Included is a Shamrock pattern pitcher featuring a basketweave textured body, hand-painted green shamrocks on trailing stems, and a branch-form twig handle with green and light brown accents. The set also contains a Ribbon pattern creamer and sugar bowl, both designed with spirally fluted bodies and raised, hand-painted yellow luster ribbons tied in bows. Each piece bears the sixth Belleek factory mark printed in green on the base, which was in use between approximately 1965 and 1980. This mark includes a central tower, an Irish wolfhound, and a harp above a banner reading BELLEEK and IRELAND. The bases also feature a circular registration mark with the text REG No 0857.
