B) "dou / 1941" marked receiver, "eagle/A80" proof marks, standard markings and features with front sight protector, mixed numbers, including mis-matched stock.

C) Unusual example of an early J.P. Sauer & Sohn K-98 rifle fitted with a 1930 dated GEW length barrel. The rear sight is marked "S/42G" indicating conversion in 1935. The rear of the barrel is marked "30D757" with a Luftwaffe proof on the left side of the receiver. Receiver is marked "147 / 1938" with Nazi firing and eagle proofs. Various parts have been renumbered during assembly, with a leather sling and unusual presentation plaque attached to the left side of the buttstock which reads "Devening.ehen.Dresd.Jager.ev./Desden.Abt.fur.sportschieben/No.3". Writer feels this would be well worth it to research further.
