Three total L.H. Hershfield & Co. Helena, Montana checks with a picture of a miner and his dog on the left side of the check. 2 of them are RN-B1 (an original and duplicate) and 1 RN-B6 (green). L.H Hershfield opened a private bank in November 1865 and with his brother operated it. In June 1882 the bank received a charter and became the Merchants National Bank of Helena.
