<B>Three Hand-Colored Eleazar Albin Bird Prints,</B></I> 9.25" x 11.5", England, ca. 1730s: "The Flamingo" (Plate 77), "The Blew Heron" (Plate 79), and "The Black Stork" (Plate 82). These colorful, long-legged aquatic birds are faithfully re-created on paper. Albin's majestic flamingo is particularly delightful, being a nearly 300 year-old rendering of a somewhat "modern" American icon. Two leaves of text are included with the prints, one of which carries the description for the Blue Heron. Roughness to one edge from being dis-bound, else very good condition with light, even aging.
