Lot of 3 different. Wells Fargo established a branch on the Comstock in 1860. 1) Very early Sept. 1861 check, green print, issued to WF Everett for $150. Signed by Charles Strong for the Gould & Curry. Strong was the first supt. of the company and presided over its disastrous expensive mill in 1863. He took his life in 1883. 2) Aug. 1864 check to McDowell signed by Charles Bonner as supt. for the Gould & Curry. 3) 1863 check to OS Ford signed by RN Graves as supt. for the Empire Mill & Mining Company.
