1) This helmet is a copy in the style of Augsburg 16th Century. It was cast in 2-pieces and joined together down the center. There is a panoply of arms on the outside with 3 mounted knights in a central circle on one side and a battle scene on the opposite. On the inside of each half is a makers stamp "HUSQVARNA". Morian is a copy of gilt and embossed. An original piece made in Augsburg, pre-1589, can be seen Fine Arms and Armor, Johannes Schobel, pages 63 and 34. Very good. 2) 20th century iron hat is a copy of the type of iron hats worn in 17th century Western Europe as protection for civilian gentlemen. Constructed with a 1-piece skull and a 1-piece brim riveted together with bent tabs. The brim has a rolled edge along with decorative rivets. There is a sliding nasal guard held in place by a winged bolt. The nasal guard has decorative cuts at the top and bottom. Very good. 3) European style close helmet. The skull is composed of 2-pieces that are joined at a rolled and roped comb along with a few small spot welds. There are 2 square nuts spot welded at the pivot points. There are 5 piercings near the ears. The bevor is composed of 3-pieces joined with rivets, there is a weld near the chin area and the lower lame has a rolled roped edge with decorative brass rivets. The 1-piece ventail has vent slots on the right side, a serrated section for the stand and a hole to engage a spring loaded post with a button located on the bevor. The 1-piece visor has a lifting post and has a weld on the underside of the bottom "bellow". Very good.
