<B>Three Confederate Covers Postally Used.</B></I> The first is of bright yellow stock and has a Hardeeville, South Carolina postmark dated June 7, 1862 tied to a 5-cent green (#1) stamp. It is addressed to Dr. L. J. Bond, Macon, Georgia; the second cover carries a #1 with significant paper loss to one corner and having a small manuscript cancellation. It is addressed to Mrs. M.B. Walthall, Mobile, Alabama; the third cover as a scarce 5-cent blue (#4) tied to the cover by a Petersburg, Virginia cancellation and is addressed to P. J. Fowlkes, Jeffress Store, Nottaway County, Virginia.
