Three lots with the major producer in the Palmyra and Indian Springs Mining District. 1) Como Eureka Gold and Silver Mining Company, 1883, to EW Leonard from president EW Leonard, 1000 shares. 2) Como Consolidate Mines, 1916, G Gordon president, 100 shares. 3) Como Mines Company, 1935, 100 shares. Mining in the Como area was sporadic. Como is probably known more for its relations with Native Americans than mining. Captain Truckee, guide to John C Fremont was bitten by a tarantula in Como and died there. He was reportedly buried on a hillside above the town. The infamous Como Indian Battle took place here.
