1933 This is a lot of three posters for dances in 1933 and 1934. Two of these advertise the appearance of Jack Bain “The Prince of Song” and the Club Victor Orchestra’s appearance at the Glide Hall in Kelso, Washington. Bain, later a state senator from Oregon, helped artists like Bing Crosby and Danny Thomas and was the star of his own radio show on NBC back in the 1930s. both of these posters measure 22”x 14” and show some wear, but are still in good condition. The third poster advertises a dance for Thursday, November 30 at the Elks Hall in Longview, Washington with Jules Sherwood and His Pirates. The featured performer for Amalgamated Meat Cutters sponsored event is Myer Alexander who, as Jeff Alexander, would go on to write the musical scores for a few Elvis Presley films and some television series of the 1960’s and 1970’s. There is some staining and dings in the poster, but like the other two, great examples of advertising and show business from a time long passed. Lynn Langdon Collection - HKA#65287
