Three (3). American. New York Watch Company, Columbus Watch Company and American Watch Company (Waltham). Cases: Coin silver and nickel silver. Coin silver case marked, "Warranted Coin Silver". Nickel silver cases marked, "Silveroid" and "Dueber Silverine Canton O". 18 size (45mm movement diameters). The New York Watch Co. example is marked, "John Hancock" serial # 47996. Each not running. The Appleton, Tracy & Co. has a broken balance staff and loose crystal. The Columbus is wound tight and will not run. The New York Watch Co. example is missing its escape wheel, pendant and possibly other parts. The rear case is detached at the hinge. Running watches have not been tested for timekeeping accuracy and may require adjustment. The fact that a watch has been described as "running" provides no guarantee of its ability to continue to do so.
