<B>Thorne Mining and Refining Co., Arizona.</B></I> A second and slightly lighter silver ingot from this unknown manufacturer. Similar to the ingot above, this bar also has no traces of gold. The silver is .999 fine, the ingot weighs 3.35 ounces, and was valued at the time of manufacture at $4.32. The serial number for this bar is 195. There is something curious we have noticed on this piece. The top part of the ingot is irregular in shape. It appears that the company stamp was impressed in the still-hot metal <I>after</B></I> it was removed from the mold.
