Letter to Colonel Church sending condolences. In part: “It is not possible for an outsider to estimate the measure of loss that has come to you in the severing of such relations as those that bound together your brother and yourself for these many years, but it is enough to know that it is threefold—the man, the brother, and the fellow worker—and that in all three the measure was full.” In fine condition, with a vertical mailing fold through last letter of signature.
