<B>Thomas Stafford - Lot of 20 Signed First Day Covers</B></I> postmarked September 29, 1967, at the Kennedy Space Center, Florida celebrating the release of Scott #1331-1332. This <I>se tenant</B></I> pair of stamps pictures an astronaut walking in space tethered to a Gemini space capsule and commemorates the first U.S. walk in space by Ed White of Gemini 4. None of these covers are cacheted and all have the stamped address of Dr. Coons beneath the stamps. Tom Stafford was selected as one of the second group of astronauts in September 1962. He flew in four missions - Gemini 6A, Gemini 9A, Apollo 10, and the Apollo-Soyuz Test Project. Thirteen feature pairs of stamps and seven have blocks of four. All are neatly signed "<I>Tom Stafford</B></I>" on the left side in blue ink. Very fine condition. <I>From the estate of Dr. D.
