This is a recent auction find. It is what appears to be an 1811 etching, with watercolor tinting by Thomas Rowlandson. The title of this etching is 'The Harmonic Society' and is dated Dec 1811. Below the title is The asemblies of women are to frequently marhed by malice to each other, and slander to the absent, the meetings of men by worse verlity and wrangling. It was framed with matting in the 1950's in Minneapolis Mn. The paper on the back of the frame is still intact. The frame is wood and gilt with some wear to paint. The mat and print do have some slight foxing. The visible print is 10 x 14 inches. The frame is 16 x 20 inches. This is a n excellent print that has an estimate value of pounds. The colors are bright and vibrant.
