American political cartoonist and illustrator (1840–1902) best known for devising the donkey and elephant symbols of the Democratic and Republican parties. Bank check, 7.25 x 3, filled out and signed by Nast, “Th: Nast,” payable to The Citizens Insurance Company for $57.60, February 21, 1893. In fine condition, with cancellation cut to center, a vertical fold, and a couple bank stamps, none of the flaws affecting the clean signature area. RRAuction COA.
