Famed Irish poet and songwriter (1779–1852) best known for such verses as “The Last Rose of Summer” and “Believe Me If All These Endearing Young Charms.” Two ALSs, one undated and one dated November 10, 1831,from Sloperton Cottage in response to an autograph request. In fine condition, with intersecting folds, light soiling, and old tape repair on the back of one letter to reinforce two intersecting folds.
