Signer of the US Constitution from Pennsylvania (1744–1800) and first governor of that state. Manuscript vellum DS, signed “Tho. Mifflin,” one page, 15.75 x 12.75, April 8, 1793. As governor of Pennsylvania, Mifflin grants Samuel C. Seely "a certain Tract of land called Buck Ridge…containing Four hundred and thirty seven Acres." Boldly and prominently signed in the wide left margin by Governor Mifflin, and countersigned at the conclusion by Deputy Secretary James Trimble. Retains the white paper seal affixed to the upper left. In fine condition, with intersecting folds.
