Signer of the US Constitution from Pennsylvania (1744"“1800) and first governor of that state. Vellum manuscript DS, signed "Tho. Mifflin," one page, 21 x 12, October 11, 1794. As governor of Pennsylvania, Mifflin grants unto colonial statesman William Bingham "a certain tract of land called 'Sherburne.'" Signed in the upper left corner by Mifflin, and countersigned at the conclusion by James Trimble. The white paper seal affixed to the upper left remains intact. In fine condition, with intersecting folds.
