Thomas Mifflin. Aide-de-camp to Washington, Quartermaster General of Continental Army, Governor of Pennsylvania. Handsome vellum deed, 1794, granting land between a sugar tree and the beach for several pounds to William Bingham, said to be the richest man in America at the time. 11 x 20, large petal seal, 6" diameter, center embossed, with Mifflin's signature just below, a bit light. Another 6" petal seal on verso. With four signatures, including Bingham, darkly penned with paraph. Very fine.
