Partly-printed vellum DS, signed “Tho. M:Kean” and "T. Matlack," one page, 20.5 x 11.75, August 13, 1806. Document granting Alexander Baring, Henry Baring, Robert Gilmore, Thomas Mayne Willing and Charles Willing Hare “certain tract of land called ‘Lowbrook’ situate in the late purchase now Armstrong County.” Signed in the upper left by Governor McKean and countersigned below by James Trimble as deputy secretary. Also endorsed on the reverse by Timothy Matlack, the engrosser of the Declaration of Independence. Document retains its embossed paper seal affixed to the upper left. In fine condition.
