Most notably, a great content ALS by <B>Samuel Maclay,</B></I> who served as a Colonel during the Revolutionary War. The letter, three pages, 7.5" x 9.5", Washington, D.C., Dec. 24, 1805, covers such topics as the debate in Congress regarding the building of 74 gun ships, his opinion of President Jefferson, and the halting of trade with Santo Domingo. Lot also includes: <B>Henry Dearborn</B></I> (DS and LS); and <B>Robert Smith</B></I> (2 LsS and one DS). Overall condition is very good.
