Manuscript Document Signed, “Tho. Hutchins.” One page, 7 3/8” x 4”.Fort Chartres. December 8, 1769. The document reads, in part: “ … At ten days sight of this my Third Bill, First & Second of the same Tenor & Date not paid, Please to pay to Messrs Baynton Wharton & Morgan on order the sum of Thirty Eight Pounds Sixteen Shillings New York Currency being for subsistence paid a detachment of your company at this place … ”Overall Very Fine.
