Thomas (Tom) Flynn came West from Kentucky at the age of 14. He worked in his brother-in-law’s saddle shop in Denver. In 1880 Tom opened his own saddle shop and in 1892 he moved to Pueblo, Colorado and set upa saddle shop in competition with Gallup and Frazier. Soon the three called the Pueblo Saddle making trio. Tom Flynn made the side-saddle for Charles Goodnight’s wife. In 1921 a flash flood completely destroyed theFlynn Saddlery. Six months later Tom Flynn Died. His son, Frank, took over the business, but it never fully recovered and then closed in 1935.This saddle was built in the early 1900’s: circa 1915. The saddle somehow made its way to an Indian Reservation in Eastern Montana. It was then later given to Dale Moore to be put into his collection by an Indian saddleschool student. The saddle shows great condition with some wear on one side of the pommel or swell. The saddle has a 15" seat. This is from the Dale E. Moore Collection in
